YEREVAN. – There are huge technical problems connected with Armenia’s accession to Customs Union, secretary of Heritage parliamentary faction said.
“I am skeptical about Customs Union program as I am convinced it is developed for only three particular countries. There are no answers to many questions,” Tevan Poghosyan said during the conference on Friday.
Poghosyan said European negotiators did a good job in terms of technical issues, but not the aspect of political decisions. He also expressed concern over Georgia.
“Will there be new dividing lines if Georgia signs Association Agreement?” Poghosyan wonders. “We must assess our own interests in the right way. EU, naturally, has its own interests, while Russia and Customs Union have theirs.”
“European Integration 2013: EU-Armenia Relations Perspective after the EaP Vilnius Summit” conference is being held in Yerevan.
