A tragic event recently occurred in Kapan city of Armenia’s Syunik Region. 

A 2.5-year-old boy suffocated and died while eating bread and sour cream, the Armenian News-NEWS.am sources informed.   

We have learned that the child was alone at home and his mother was in a store at the time. When the mother returned home, she saw the child gasping, and the child died before his mother could do anything.     

According to preliminary data, the cause of the child’s death was mechanical suffocation, the closing of the food-filled respiratory system.   

A report is being prepared on the incident, and an autopsy will be performed on the body.
