YEREVAN. – A bituminous plant will resume its work in Surenavan village of Armenia next year.

Armenian Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan said the plant had submitted an application for purchase of 25,000 of customs free goudron from Russia within the framework of intergovernmental agreement.

Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am, a representative of the plant, said on condition of anonimity that the plant is not functioning now but can resume work after receiving the Russian goudron.

“25 thousand tons is the half of our annual capacity, so if everything goes as we planned, we will work,” he added. Among the possible markets for bitumen the company sees road construction programs in the country.
