YEREVAN. – Armenia registered 13,473 marriages during nine months of 2013, a 2.6 % decrease as compared with the same period last year, representative of statistical service told reporters.

National Statistical Service official Karine Kuyumjyan said 2,768 divorces were registered during the same period, a 13.7% increase as compared with the mentioned period last year.

She noted that the average age at which women in Armenia have their first child is not much higher than the average marriage age.
