YEREVAN. – A new biosphere complex Zangezur will be created in Syunik Region, in Armenia’s south.
This was announced by the Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan during the government’s meeting on Thursday.
The new complex will be formed by uniting Shikaokh national reserve and Arevik national park, and will focus on protection and studying of ecosystem of the mentioned territories. The complex may become a place for ecotourism.
