YEREVAN. – The Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly (HCA) Vanadzor Office received the Administrative Court of Armenia decision on its petition.

The HCA Vanadzor Office had filed a petition with the Administrative Court to consider unlawful President Serzh Sargsyan’s decision on Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union (CU).

The Administrative Court, however, rejected the petition and made references to the Armenian Administrative Litigation Code article, pursuant to which the claim is not subject to the Administrative Court consideration, and the Armenian President’s constitutionally-given powers and rights.

The Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly Vanadzor Office plans to appeal this decision at the Court of Appeals.
