YEREVAN. – Armenian parliament on Friday is holding debates on the agreement on sale of ArmRusgazprom shares.

The agreement was presented by the Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan, the Armenian News-NEWS.am correspondent reported.

Secretary of Prosperous Armenia faction Naira Zohrabyan labeled the treaty as “vassal agreement” and asked Movsisyan whether he is aware of the reasons for sentencing Yulia Tymoshenko.

“This agreement is not based on partner relations. It is a vassal agreement that is not in line with the interests of Armenian people. The agreement that you submitted to parliament is betrayal and contradicts interests of the state. Yulia Tymoshenko was jailed for this,” Zohrabyan told the Minister.

In response, Movsisyan called to study the document thoroughly before making hash statements. However, Prosperous Armenia member said “the people read this agreement and gathered near the parliament calling on parliamentary majority to vote against.”
