YEREVAN. – The National Assembly (NA) of Armenia on Monday passed the last package of bills for 2013, which were on taxis.
Hence the special NA session came to a close.
The bill on making amendments in the Law on Motor Vehicles and the adjunct bills simplify the procedure for issuing taxi drivers’ licenses.
In addition, it is advised to introduce a tariff requirement in the taxis.
With the passing of the aforesaid bills, the private sector of Armenia is expected to receive 1.65 billion drams (approx. $4,069,328) in earnings and tax and duty savings.
