Hijabs will be banned throughout the Europe, Echo of Moscow quotes Vice-President of European Parliament and member of German pro-business Free Democrats Silvana Koch-Mehrin.

According to her, hijabs and other Islamic veils covering the face are displaying the values that are not admitted in Europe. She called these clothes “moving jails” and urged to ban them as an encroachment on freedom of women, depriving of both face and identity.

Koch-Mehrin also added that this move should not be taken as constraints of personal freedoms or religious liberty, adding that her offers are based on personal experience. She clarified that people, whose face and body are covered by clothes cause sense of insecurity.
