YEREVAN. – Well-informed sources have revealed that the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) former President, Arkadi Ghukasyan, has plans to return to this job, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reported.

“Specifically, he intends to run in the NKR presidential elections in 2017.

“The representatives of Ghukasyan’s entourage even claim that this matter is agreed with [the President of Armenia,] Serzh Sargsyan, [and] the representatives of Armenia’s ruling elite.

“Such talk, however, is perceived quite apprehensively in Karabakh because during Ghukasyan’s tenure [as the NKR President], there was a quite tense and unhealthy environment in Karabakh,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
