It is frivolous today to speak about running in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) presidential elections in 2017.
NKR former President Arkadi Ghukasyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“I have not made a single step that anyone would have the right to think that way,” he noted, in particular.
To the query as to whether such a thing is totally unlikely, Ghukasyan responded that there is nothing unlikely in life, but today it is frivolous to speak about it.
Haykakan Zhamanak daily had reported that well-informed sources have revealed that the NKR former President, Arkadi Ghukasyan, has plans to return to this job.
“Specifically, he intends to run in the NKR presidential elections in 2017.
“The representatives of Ghukasyan’s entourage even claim that this matter is agreed with [the President of Armenia,] Serzh Sargsyan, [and] the representatives of Armenia’s ruling elite.
“Such talk, however, is perceived quite apprehensively in Karabakh because during Ghukasyan’s tenure [as the NKR President], there was a quite tense and unhealthy environment in Karabakh,” Haykakan Zhamanak wrote.
