YEREVAN. – The Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia, Shavarsh Kocharyan, did not answer the reporters’ question with respect to world-renowned French-Armenian singer, songwriter, actor, public activist, and diplomat Charles Aznavour.

Incompletely hearing the respective query, he tried to leave, to which the journalists reacted: “Why don’t you answer our questions?”

And in response, Kocharyan noted: “And why don’t you give normal questions?”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia had issued a statement noting that Charles Aznavour had never given an interview to Posta daily of Turkey and never accepted a Turkish award.

Posta had published an interview stressing that it was with Aznavour. In this “interview,” the famous French-Armenian singer allegedly had made very controversial statements, which supposedly had caused quite a stir among the Armenian society.
