YEREVAN. - Armenia’s National Association of Beekeepers President Rosa Tsarukyan plans to open an apitherapy (also known as “bee therapy”) clinic in Armenia, Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

Apitherapy (from the Latin apis which means bee) is the medical use of honey bee products. This can include the use of honey, pollen, bee bread, propolis, royal jelly and bee venom.

According to Rosa Tsarukyan, recently representatives of the Slovak Agricultural University of Nitra arrived in Armenia.

“They examined the area and left. Now we wait for their final feedback,” she said.

Rosa Tsarukyan is the mother of Gagik Tsarukyan, a well-known Armenian millionaire and the leader of Prosperous Armenia Party, which is the largest power of the parliament not holding office in the Armenian government.
