YEREVAN. – Even though some problems arose in connection with the European Union (EU) Association Agreement, Armenia-EU cooperation was very productive.  

Ambassador Traian Hristea, who is Head of the Delegation of the EU to Armenia, stated the aforementioned on Tuesday, at the sixteenth session of the EU Advisory Group in Armenia.

Hristea stressed that this group operates in Armenia for the past five years, and during this period of cooperation, the EU has taken on the commitment to assist in the reforms being implemented in the country. 

“In this context, it is very important that Armenia inform the EU about the evolution of its relations within the framework of the EEU [i.e., the Eurasian Economic Union], in order to understand how we will continue the future long-term cooperation,” the EU ambassador noted.  

Traian Hristea added that the EU Advisory Group has carried out a productive activity in Armenia by assisting the country’s Office of the President and several other government agencies.
