YEREVAN. – Armenia is becoming a member in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), and therefore corresponding management institutions are needed to handle the economic issues in the newly created situation.

Ruling Republican Party (RPA) MP Manvel Badeyan stated the aforementioned at a press conference on Tuesday, reflecting on the government’s decision to establish the Ministry of International Economic Integration and Reforms.   

As per the deputy, undoubtedly, there are problems, but Armenia’s EEU accession and European Union integration processes are in progress.   

“A specialized organization will increase the management efficiency of these processes,” Badeyan stressed.  

And as for the government decision to merge the Ministries of Emergency Situations and Territorial Administration, the RPA MP stated: “The [state] budget provides for no additional expenditures for these changes, a downsizing of officials likewise will not happen, [and] solely a personnel reshuffling will be conducted.”
