YEREVAN. – The Nagorno-Karabakh Republic must take moves to clarify the fate of the crew of the helicopter that was downed by Azerbaijani armed forces, Armenian Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov said.

“The moves of the Karabakh side exclusively depend on the position of Azerbaijani leadership and Baku’s ability to give an adequate assessment of the situation,” Sharmazanov said.

The politician is convinced that by not allowing get closer to downed helicopter, Azerbaijan shows inhuman attitude, and makes consistent provocations in clear violation of international humanitarian law, in particular the Geneva Convention.

“I said this once, and I am ready to repeat once again that the entire responsibility for the possible aggravation of the situation will fall on the dictatorial Azerbaijan,” he said, adding that the international community should put more pressure on Baku.
