YEREVAN. – Operating costs for export from Armenia to the Eurasian Union member states will be cut by 10 percent after country joins the economic union, Deputy Finance Minister Suren Karayan said during the debates on Monday.
He noted that tariff barriers will be completely removed, while sanitary control on the border and quality inspection will be simplified.
The official added that transit of goods from Armenia to the Eurasian Economic Union, in particular via Georgia, will remain unchanged. In case of having necessary documents, the vehicle will pass through transit country without any obstacles.
The membership to Eurasian Economic Union is on the agenda of parliament's plenary session after it was debated in standing committees on economy and foreign affairs last week.
