YEREVAN. – Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received France’s new Ambassador to Armenia, Jean-François Charpentier.
The Premier congratulated the ambassador for commencing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, and he expressed a conviction that the French diplomat will contribute to achieving deeper and closer Armenian-French relations.
In turn, Charpentier noted that assuming the duties of ambassador in France’s friendly country is a great honor for him, and that he will do his utmost to develop bilateral cooperation.
Highly praising the level of Armenia-France political discourse, the interlocutors considered the full realization of the existing trade and economic potential between the two countries to be indispensable.
PM Abrahamyan assured that the Armenian government will assist in the implementation of programs aimed at achieving closer Armenian-French economic ties.
Ambassador Charpentier, for his part, pledged that he will do his best to maintain the already-achieved accomplishments and make bilateral cooperation reach a higher level.
