YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Tuesday received the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Tchikaidze.

The President expressed the hope that the minister’s visit will be productive and it will contribute to the further deepening of cooperation between the police agencies of Armenia and Georgia.

Minister Tchikaidze, for his part, recorded that the Police of Armenia and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia enjoy close partnership, and that the objective of his visit to Armenia is to further strengthen these relations.

The interlocutors shared the view that the two neighboring and friendship countries need to continuously develop cooperation to be able to confront the modern-day challenges, and to find effective solutions to the regional matters of common concern.
