YEREVAN. – Public protests against price hike is a natural thing, Speaker of the Armenian parliament Galust Sahakyan said.

Asked whether authorities fear that fluctuation of US dollar will provoke mass protests, Sahakyan said: “I advice to be cautious about fluctuations”.

Sahakyan assured that the Republican Party of Armenia will protect everyone: the weak and strong, the poor and the rich.

“We entered politics in 1999 with budget sequestration. In two years we managed to improve the situation, and we are moving forward. Therefore, the authorities are concerned the most,” he added.
