YEREVAN. – Member of Free Democrats party Khachatur Kokobelyan said neither Russia, nor CSTO did anything to ensure Armenia's security.

His comment came during the parliamentary debates on Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Union.

Kokobelyan emphasized that this year's events in Karabakh proved his words. Neither the downed helicopter, nor border clashes in late July and early August led to at least any statements, let alone actions on the part of Russia or CSTO, he said.

“We are CSTO members. Let's think what this membership gave us. And we should not tell that Russia's is a guarantor of Armenia's interests,” he added.
