Uruguay Vice President Danilo Astori, who is also Chairman of the General Assembly of Uruguay, on Friday will come Armenia on an official visit.

Astori will arrive in capital city Yerevan at the invitation of his Armenian colleagues, the RFE/RL Armenian service reported.

This will be the highest-ever ranking Uruguay official’s visit to Armenia.

Meetings and talks are planned with the Armenian leadership.

As of March 1, 2015, Danilo Astori will assume the post of Minister of Economy and Finance in the Cabinet of President-elect Tabaré Vázquez.
