YEREVAN. – Defense Minister of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan on Thursday received James Appathurai, the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.

The parties noted the need to maintain the dynamics for the development of bilateral cooperation in the main directions and existing formats of this cooperation, the Armenia MOD press service informed.

The NATO official highly commended Armenia’s engagement in the operations to maintain international peace and stability.

Ohanyan and Appathurai also discussed regional security issues. In this connection, the parties shared the concern over the current tension on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Line of Contact.
