YEREVAN. – There’s a lot of room in the Russian market for both Turkish and Armenian farmed fish, Tolga Uruk, marketing and sales director at Agromey, told Armenia News – NEWS.am.

In foreseeable future, he added, Russia will absorb more Turkish production, including bass, bream, and trout. It’s too early to talk about anti- competitive practices between Armenia and Turkey, he added.

“I think all of Russian importers are looking for alternative sources, however they’re waiting

for the embargo [against Western foods] to be canceled. But still, there will be good opportunities in the future in the Russian seafood market for both countries”, he added.
