YEREVAN. – Around 50,000 citizens of Armenia are in Russia's entry “blacklist”, and 40-50 address Armenia's State Migration Service every day, head of the service Gagik Eghanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The service workers work hard, and 22-23 percent of the applicants get a positive response, he assured.

“However, it should be noted that Eurasian Economic Union has nothing to do with the problem. The Union creates opportunities for mutually beneficial economic cooperation and opens up opportunities for migrant workers, but not for migrants who violated laws of other country,” he said.

The citizens of Armenia who are banned from entering Russia periodically hold protest actions, calling for an amnesty that would enable them to earn their living in Russia.
