YEREVAN. – According to official statistics, 1,519,295,000 US dollars-worth of products were exported from Armenia last year, Zhoghovurd daily reported.

“Exports rose by 2.7 percent, or by 40,547,000 dollars, as compared to the previous year. But it is noteworthy that a drop is recorded in the direction of Armenia’s main export markets.

“Zhoghovurd found out that the main growth [in the country’s exports] was recorded on the account of the increase in the volume of exports to China.

“In this case, the main product being exported from Armenia to China is copper concentrate, whose price has fallen sharply since the beginning of this year. So, the indicator for [Armenia’s] exports to China likewise will fall in the future,” Zhoghovurd wrote.
