Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is in Munich, Germany, on a working visit, on Thursday met with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, Ambassadors Igor Popov (Russian Federation), James Warlick (United States) and Pierre Andrieu (France), and Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office

At the meeting, the interlocutors continued the discussions on the Karabakh-Azerbaijan peace process.

The Armenian FM drew the intermediaries’ attention to the multiplication of the Azerbaijani ceasefire violations and acts of sabotage on the border with Armenia and the Line of Contact with Nagorno-Karabakh. He stressed that the Azerbaijani armed forces had violated the ceasefire more than 3,000 times in recent weeks, and this had resulted in human—including civilian—casualties.

“The Azerbaijani leadership flagrantly disregards the targeted calls by the international community and, with its adventurist policy and provocative actions, further exacerbates the situation and inhibits the peace process,” Nalbandian noted.

He also reaffirmed that Armenia will continue the joint efforts with the three Minsk Group co-chair countries, to achieve solely a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
