YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia will allocate 601.5 million drams (approx. $1.26 million) in 2015, for export assistance.

The respective decision was adopted at Thursday’s Cabinet meeting.

Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan stated that the export assistance programs will comprise at least four conferences on industry and trade.

In addition, Armenian companies will receive assistance in participating in foreign exhibitions, as the government will cover 50 percent of their booth fees.

Also, a portion of the interests on loans of at least ten Armenian industrial companies will be subsidized. And twelve more companies will get assistance in the registration of medical drugs, or the issuance of foreign certificates.

Furthermore, at least sixty representatives from foreign sales companies and export-assistance organizations are planned to be invited to Armenia.
