YEREVAN. – U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland has arrived in the region at least on a fact-finding trip or with an attempt to influence the situation over Karabakh, analyst Alexander Iskandaryan told reporters.

Nuland's visit was conditioned by regional policy, the expert believes.

“Victoria Nuland is dealing with Eurasia. Karabakh is certainly not a priority, but one of the problems she has to deal with,” Iskandaryan said.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State visited Yerevan, Baku and Tbilisi during her regional trip from February 16 to 18.
