YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Friday held a working lunch with the OSCE participating states’ ambassadors who are accredited in Armenia.

The President, in his introductory remarks, highly praised the OSCE’s role and potential in the maintenance of European security and the resolution of conflicts. In this context, Sargsyan reflected on the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, and stressed that maintaining the active respective role of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing countries is very important for security across Europe. The president also presented Armenia’s outlook on the possible avenues for the resolution of current problems in this regard.

In addition, Serzh Sargsyan spoke about the upcoming events to be held this year and devoted to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide, present-day international matters and challenges, Armenia’s foreign and domestic policy agenda, the country’s new economic development opportunities following its recent accession to the Eurasian Economic Union, the prospects for making Armenia-European Union cooperation grow deeper, and the ongoing reforms in Armenia.

Those in attendance exchanged view on the abovementioned topics, and the President of Armenia answered the questions of the attending ambassadors.
