YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Tuesday received renowned French-Armenian race driver Nicolas Minassian.

The President noted that people in Armenia are always proud of all Armenians who achieve worldwide success. Sargsyan also underscored that Minassian has not lost the link with the homeland, and also visited Armenia with the willingness to be helpful to the Armenian state and nation.

Nicolas Minassian, for his part, noted that he is happy to visit the Motherland and start productive cooperation with the Automobile Federation of Armenia. He briefed the President on his plans stressing that his dream is to found a race driving school in Armenia, and to create a good team of race drivers who will represent Armenia in the international circuits. Minassian also assured that this sport will serve charitable objectives, as it will provide assistance to the socially disadvantaged in Armenia.  

In turn, Serzh Sargsyan welcomed these plans by the famous race driver, and expressed readiness to assist in their implementation and the development of this sport in Armenia.
