YEREVAN. – It is almost for sure that Poland will not be represented by a president at the events marking the Armenian Genocide Centennial, Poland's Ambassador Jerzy Nowakowski told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Ambassador explained it by the fact that Poland will hold presidential elections in two weeks.

The diplomat said it is not clear who will be the official representing his country in Yerevan on April 24, but there will definitely be a representative.

“I asked our president, but he diplomatically replied that it would be very difficult to attend events in Yerevan because of the election campaign in Poland. Final decision on who will represent the countryhas not been made yet. And, given the election agenda, this decision will be made quite late,” Nowakowski emphasized.
