Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan, who is on an official visit to Kuwait, received, at his place of stay, Deputy Director General Hisham Ibrahim Al-Waqayan of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), commonly known as the Kuwait Fund.

The interlocutors discussed the avenues for implementing KFAED programs in Armenia.

Abrahamyan noted that Armenia is interested in deepening trade, economic, and investment cooperation with Kuwait.

Hisham Ibrahim Al-Waqayan, for his part, noted that the Kuwait Fund is keen to invest heavily in Armenia, and expressed readiness to discuss the respective plans. He added that the KFAED is already carrying out several programs in Armenia within the framework of some international financial institutions, and it will continue assisting in the implementation of programs geared toward the country’s economic development.

In turn, PM Hovik Abrahamyan stressed that, as the head of the Armenian government, he will do everything to develop and expand Armenian-Kuwaiti economic ties.
