YEREVAN. – The Prime Minister of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, on Friday participated in the 14th session of the United Customs Services Council of the Customs Union member states, which has kicked off in Yerevan.

First, the PM welcomed the holding of this meeting in Armenia’s capital city, and noted that this fact bespeaks the country’s efforts to invigorate cooperation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).

In Abrahamyan’s words, a wide range of issues will be discussed at the session, and it is important to focus on practical decision-making at inter-agency level.

The head of the Armenian government also noted that combating customs crimes and corruption, determining customs value, risk management, and online information exchange need to be the priorities of the customs services of the EEU member countries (Armenia, Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan).
