YEREVAN. - Programs implemented by International Financial Corporation (IFC) in Armenia give a new impetus to the activation and further development of economy, said Armenia’s PM Hovik Abrahamyan on Thursday during the meeting with IFC Vice President Karin Finkelston.    

As reported to Armenian News-NEWS.am, the PM highly commended the effective cooperation between Armenian government and IFC. Mr. Abrahamyan expressed hope that the visit of Ms Finkelston will contribute to the further enhancement of the bilateral cooperation. He underscored the importance of programs aimed at the improvement of the business environment, support to the financial sector and making of inspectoral reforms. 

Karin Finkelston said that the IFC is ready to expand the programs in the field of agriculture, industry, infrastructure and innovative technologies, as well as support Armenian government in addressing the possible challenges.
