YEREVAN. – Starting from 2016, the individuals in Armenia will not have to pay extra money for the quality natural gas that has a calorific value that is more than the 7,900 kilocalories/cubic meter normative.
Ruling Republican Party of Armenia National Assembly (NA) Faction member and chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Vardan Ayvazyan, who is also chairman of the NA Ad Hoc Committee on Pricing Issues, stated the aforesaid at the parliament on Tuesday.
“Staring from 2016, a correction factor will be applied not solely for the large consumers [in Armenia]. (…) But a correction factor will be applied for the plants and other enterprises. Such is the arrangement with the Russian side.
“The minimum calorific value of the Russian [natural] gas totals 7,900 kilocalories per cubic meter,” Ayvazyan specifically noted.
