YEREVAN. – A fountain monument devoted to the centenary of the Armenian Genocide was unveiled in the garden of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia.

NA President Galust Sahakyan performed the official opening.

“The monument symbolizes not solely our nation’s past, but its present and faith for the future.

“Unfortunately, modern-day Turkey is still out of the scope of the civilized world. But the will and the demand for justice of the Armenian people do not reduce from it.

“On the contrary, this demand is inalienable from their historical recollection, and it will not weaken until Turkey condemns the most terrible tragedy of the Armenian people,” Sahakyan stated at the unveiling ceremony.
