A series of commemoration events will be held in Norway on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, as reported to Armenian News – NEWS.am by Armenian Cultural Association in Norway.

“Carrying out events on this scale in Norway shows that the country and people of the great explorer, scientist, humanitarian and leading propagandist of Armenians’ rights Fridtjof Nansen continue his mission and require restoration of justice, regardless of the position of their government,” the organization stated.

The events are planned to be held in Oslo, Bergen and Stavanger. Over 12 successful events were already held in February and March, some of them being supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Fritt Ord fund. In April more than 10 different cultural events will be organized.
