President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, who is in Italy on an official visit, on Saturday attended, at Saint Gregory the Illuminator Church in Naples, a religious ceremony presided over by the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, and the Archbishop of Naples, Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe, and the unveiling and consecration ceremony of a cross-stone devoted to the Armenian Genocide. Sargsyan also delivered an address in connection with the unveiling of this cross-stone, and the return of the remains of Saint Gregory the Illuminator.

In addition, the President handed Armenia’s high state awards to several Armenian and Italian individuals.

And the mayor of Naples, Luigi de Magistris, handed the order of the city to President Serzh Sargsyan.
