YEREVAN. – The work history booklets will cease to exist in Armenia one year later.

Tadevos Avetisyan, an official from the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, informed the aforementioned at a press conference on Tuesday.

Avetisyan noted that the government has already approved the respective draft amendments in the Labor Code, and forwarded them to the National Assembly.

He added that the procedure for the people getting information about their data will be determined later, and with a separate act.

“In any case, work history booklet is an anachronism,” Tadevos Avetisyan stated. “Today, there is such a thing in solely three countries of the world.”

The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs official, however, added that the existing work history booklets will remain in circulation in Armenia for another year after the respective law comes into force.
