YEREVAN. – Technical and commercial energy losses in Armenia's distribution network must be reduced at least by 2 percent in 2015-2018, Energy Minister Yervand Zakharyan said.

According to him, a similar provision is contained in the program to reduce losses that is approved by Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC. For its part, the Ministry also prepared the necessary legal instrument – a program for the compilation of the balance of production, export, import and distribution of electricity. This will help to better plan its generation and flows, and thus to reduce losses in the network, said Zakharyan.

In 2014 January the losses in distribution network of 110 kilowatt and less have reduced by 14 percent as compared to 14.1 in 2013.
