YEREVAN. – The World Bank considers the relaunch of Nairit rubber plant unpromising. Nevertheless, the Armenian government is to decide the fate of the plant, Energy Minister Yervand Zakharyan said.
According to WB experts, relaunch of Nairit plant will require $250-350 million, and no one guarantees that the production will be competitive. Nevertheless, the issue is not closed, the Minister assured.
“The company was one of the pillars of Armenia's production. Public will be informed about every move on Nairit. We will listen to all opinions, and there will be no closed discussions,” Zakharyan said.
