YEREVAN. – Education system in the world should lead to cooperation in public sector, head of the Council of Europe's Education Department Sjur Bergan said during the Fourth Bologna Process Forum.

“We start a successful story of working on higher education with 48 member states. One of my goals here in Yerevan is to assure that the Bologna process will not be hurt in the future,” he said, adding that higher education suffered from economic crisis. 

In his speech, Sjur Bergan reflected on the fundamental values of higher education in the context of the current political, socio-economic and demographic challenges, namely the economic crisis, regional conflicts, migration flows and changes in the labor market.
