YEREVAN. – The Armenian opposition party has launched signature campaign to hold debates on rise in electricity prices during the parliament's plenary session.
The Armenian National Congress faction said 44 signatures are needed by Monday.
Had of ANC faction Levon Zurabyan said the ruling party MPs have nothing to fear about, since the statement is not targeted at anyone.
The current electricity rate is 41.85 drams per 1 kWh during the day and 31.85 at night. However, it is proposed to increase the rate to 58 and 48 drams respectively.
