The Armenian Genocide has occurred, stated Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel, speaking to the La Libre newspaper of Belgium.
Commenting on his position with respect to this genocide, Michel said: “Our position has always been clear: The Armenian Genocide has occurred; there can be no two opinions on this matter.”
Back in 1998, the Senate of Belgium had recognized the Armenian Genocide.
