Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu claimed that the co-chair of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish “Peoples’ Democratic Party” (HDP), Selahattin Demirtas, has conducted “dealings” with the Armenian Diaspora.

Davutoglu considered Demirtas’ meetings with representatives of the Armenian Diaspora quite suspicious.

The Turkish PM asked what “dealings” the HDP leader conducted with the Armenian Diaspora that, upon his return to Turkey, he began provoking the process of settlement of the Kurdish issue in Turkey.

Turkish analysts, however, argue that it is the country’s authorities that delay the resolution of the Kurdish issue. And in the lead-up to Turkey’s parliamentary elections on June 7, they are attempting to lower HDP’s rating by trying to carry out provocations against this political party.
