YEREVAN. – The Syrian Armenians are really in a difficult situation, but the government is doing its utmost to help them, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Manasaryan told reporters.

The government assistance includes medical services, education for children, efforts on creating new jobs, he added.

“I do not want to idealize, we are not children, and there is no need to deceive ourselves. They have a hard time, but we do what we can,” the official assured.

The Deputy Minister said there is no increasing flow of the Syrian Armenians, and the problem is not the money.

“Many stay in Syria, probably hoping that something will change,” Manasaryan emphasized.
