The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Friday traveled to the Vayots Dzor Province on a working visit.

In Gndevaz village, the President attended the official opening of the Ecofarm Ltd. This livestock complex—which is envisioned for breeding cattle and producing raw milk and cheese—was founded in September 2013, and its construction was completed in December 2014. The new complex is designed in accordance with the international food safety standards.

In Jermuk city, Sargsyan visited the construction site of a new plant of the Jermuk Group CJSC. According to company officials, their current plant’s production capacity is insufficient to fully meet their export demand. In order to solve this problem, the company decided to build a new plant and purchase modern assembly lines for bottling and packaging.

The project started in April 2015, and it is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2016.
