YEREVAN. – The staff scenario for the 2018 authorities of Armenia is actively discussed in the backstage of the country’s halls of power, reported Zhamanak daily.

“[And] one of the main posts [in this staff] is allocated to NKR DA [i.e. Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army] Commander [and Defense Minister] Movses Hakobyan.

“The [Armenia] MOD circles say the office of the commander of the General Staff [of Armenia]—the position of Yuri Khachaturov—is envisioned for him, whereupon the [position of] Defense Minister [of Armenia], if the goals of ordain [incumbent Defense Minister] Seyran Ohanyan President [of Armenia] are achieved.

“We tried to find out from Movses Hakobyan whether the matter of his moving was put forth, [and] if so, what offer did he receive.

‘“Soldiery is not offered, it is appointed,’ he responded,” wrote Zhamanak.
