Within the framework of the ongoing meeting of francophone education ministers, Armenia’s Education Minister Armen Ashotyan had a meeting with French National Education Minister Najat Vallaud-Belkacem.

Welcoming Mr Ashotyan and thanking him for participating in the meeting, Ms Vallaud-Belkacem communicated the French delegation’s high and warm impressions of the the Ministerial Summit of the Bologna Process member states held in capital city Yerevan in May, regretting that she could not personally take part in that important and symbolic event, Armenia’s Education Ministry website reports.

Ashotyan attached great importance to the Armenian-French relations in the education sphere, stressing the presence of favorable political and century-long friendly basis for them.

The ministers discussed the further activities of the French University of Armenia, its accreditation, teaching of French in Armenia, prospects of digital education development in francophone state universities and a number of questions of mutual interest.
